Below is a highlight of our most popular groups. New interest groups are always being created, so join the fun! Adult Social: These activities are just for adults, and are a great escape from children, your desk and a boring routine. Events can include happy hours, game nights, potlucks, wine and cheese parties, poker nights and more. Family Social: Fun for the whole family! Activities are based on a wide variety of ages and normally coincide with holidays such as Easter Egg Hunts, Halloween Parties, Valentine’s Day Events, Winter Celebrations and more. Playgroups: RSA organizes playgroups for children by age. These are a great way to meet RSA members with children of the same age. Sunshine Committee: The Sunshine Committee serves RSA families in need. If a fellow member has surgery, a new baby, family illness, injury, etc. the Sunshine Committee provides meals or other assistance to ease the burden. Ronald McDonald House: RSA’s official charity is the Ronald McDonald House (RMH), which provides a home for families with a child in one of the local Children’s hospitals. RSA organizes a monthly meal for the families staying in the RMH and hosts bake sales to support this organization financially. Running Club: This group is for everyone… speed-walkers, stroller-pushers, light-joggers, and marathon medalists! We explore Winston-Salem’s beautiful streets, trails and parks. Book Club: Read the book (or don't) and come socialize! Lunch Bunch: This group meets weekly for lunch and tries different restaurants around the city. Special Interest Groups: RSA sponsors events that reflect the interest and needs of its diverse membership. This category can include the following and is always exploring new hobbies: movie clubs, cooking groups, Pinterst parties, scrapbooking events, bible studies, outdoor/camping trips, dog socials, museum outings, antique hunting, golfing groups, garden clubs, swimming groups, and horseback riding.
