The Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Resident Spouse Association (RSA) is a non-profit organization that brings residents’ and fellows’ spouses and significant others together for social events.

Our Mission

The mission of the Resident Spouse Association is to provide support, fellowship, and service opportunities for spouses and significant others of residents and fellows at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

RSA members participate in many activities from book club to Ronald McDonald House charity events. Every year we host a number of events and get togethers, big and small, throughout the year! RSA is a great place to get involved with the community, meet new people, and be a part of a supportive and exciting group!

  • Adult Social: These activities are just for adults, and are a great escape from children, your desk and a boring routine. Events can include happy hours, game nights, potlucks, wine and cheese parties, poker nights and more.

  • Family Social: Fun for the whole family! Activities are based on a wide variety of ages and normally coincide with holidays such as Easter Egg Hunts, Halloween Parties, Valentine’s Day Events, Winter Celebrations and more.Playgroups

  • Playgroups: RSA organizes playgroups for children by age. These are a great way to meet RSA members with children of the same age.

  • Puppy Pals: Bring your dogs to one of our pup approved meet-ups! We have Pups in the Park for baseball fun or bring them to one of our Adult Social brewery activities.

  • Sports/Outdoor Adventure Group: This group is for sports and nature enthusiasts and includes: pickleball, softball, hiking, biking, kayaking, racing, etc.

  • Sunshine Committee: The Sunshine Committee serves RSA families in need. If a fellow member has surgery, a new baby, family illness, injury, etc. the Sunshine Committee provides meals or other assistance to ease the burden.

  • Ronald McDonald House: RSA’s official charity is the Ronald McDonald House (RMH), which provides a home for families with a child in one of the local Children’s hospitals. RSA organizes a monthly meal for the families staying in the RMH and hosts bake sales to support this organization financially.

  • Book Club: Read the book (or don't) and come socialize with wine and treats!
